HONEY BEE PENDANT IN SILVER OR GOLD (4622)

As featured in HELLO! Online as 'Oscars inspired jewellery', the Honey Bee pendant is beautifully crafted in our London workshop in gold vermeil or sterling silver.  The Honey Bee is part of  of Argent's 'endangered species' jewellery range from our Nature inspired collection, which includes currently a Turtle, Seahorse, Elephant and Hedgehog - see images below. The image shown of the Honey Bee is the gold version.  The design of the silver bee is identical in all respects other than the metal.  The Honey Bee is available also in solid 9ct and 18ct gold (price subject to confirmation), which we make to order - allow 10 to 14 days to make the latter versions. The entire Nature inspired collection is made in our London UK workshop.  The Honey Bee is available on its own or with a variety of chains, including our very popular gold fill curb and bead chain

Threats to Bees: There have been declines of stocks of honey bees for many years, particularly in Western countries. Apparently this is due to impaired protein production, changes in agricultural practice, or unpredictable weather. This on top of growing urbanisation and the use of pesticides. In early 2007, abnormally high die-offs (30–70% of hives) of European honey bee colonies occurred in North America; such a decline seems unprecedented in recent history. This has been dubbed "Colony collapse disorder" (CCD). Research has so far failed to determine what causes it. Meanwhile, Honey Bee populations in the UK remain under threat.
